1-ORGANISING AUTHORITY

The event “Les Voiles de Saint Barth” organized by T.P.SAIL EVENTS in affiliation with the FFV, Saint Barth collectivity and the Saint Barth YachtClub, will take place from 8 to 13 April 2013.

2-RULES

Racing will be governed by:

2.1 FFVoille regulations
2.2 The ISAF rules of sailing. 2009-2012
2.3The CSA rules, Multi 2000 rules, IRC Rule Parts A, B & C

2.4 The French version of the text shallprevail over the English one.

3-ADVERTIZING

Boats may be required to display advertising provided by the organizing authority as permitted by ISAF Regulation 20.

4-ELIGIBILITY and REGISTRATION

4.1All foreign boats shall be in conformity withtheircurrent nationalregulations and laws.All boats shall have onboard thesafetyequipmentrequired for the areaof coastalsailing.

4.2 The boats will be distributedin classes:

(a) Maxi-Racing and Maxi-Racing Cruising /CSA Rating

(b)IRC 52 / IRC Rating

(c)Spinnaker 1 and 2 / CSA Rating > 0,770 (spi, asy, both)

(d) Non-Spinnaker  /CSA Rating > 0,770 (jib, pol, sec)

(e) Classic / Classic Simplified CSA Rating > 0,800

(f) Racing-Multihull / Multi2000 > 1,000

4.3 After consideration of the number of boat entries, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify the classes or add classes.

4.4 The eligible boats can join by completing the form joined and by sending it accompanied with the expenses of registration required to TP SAIL EVENTS at the latest 1st Mars 2013.

4.5 At the moment of the registration the representative of each boat shall present following documents:

-Entry form

- Rating Certificate

- The proof for the foreign crews that they are in compliance with their National Authority

- Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third party liability insurance with a minimum cover of 1,6 M € per event or the equivalent.

- Disclaimer form
- Complete crew list

- Valid FFV Licence with medical approval for French crewmembers.

5-FEES

7-SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

Official sailing instructions will be those distributed in the registration packages only the April 8^th, 2013

8-DISCLAIMER

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. Decision to race or to continue racing is their own responsibility. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during or after the regatta.

9-INSURANCE

Each foreign competitor without FFVoile’slicence shall be insured with a valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of 1 500 000 Euros.

10-RADIO COMMUNICATIONS

All boats shall carry a VHF radio with channels 72, 12 and 16.

Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile phones.

11-THE COURSES

The courses will be described in Sailing Instructions.

12- PENALTY SYSTEMS

12.1 Rule 44.1 ischangedsothat the two-turns penalty isreplaced by one-turn penalty.

12.2 After hearing, a breach to rules other than 28 and 31 and to rules of part 2 may be sanctioned by a penalty ranging from 10% of the number of boats registered to disqualification.

13-PRIZES

List of prizes and/or trophies to be awarded will be given in the Sailing Instructions and will also be available on the site http://www.lesvoilesdesaintbarth.com/.

14-MEDIA RIGHTS

Competitors grant the Organizing Authority, the unrestricted right and permission to use the name and the image for any text, photograph or video footage of either themselves or the boat they are sailing during the event to be published or broadcast in any media whatsoever (including but not limited to Press and TV advertisements or Internet), for either editorial or advertising purposes or to be used in press information; in this respect, competitors’ names and any biographical material of themselves may also be used or reproduced in any way known. As part of the registration process, each individual participating crewmember will be required to sign a declaration accepting this waiver of rights.
