“Les Voiles de Saint Barth”, organized by the St Barth Yacht Club, will take place from 2 to 7 of April 2012 on the island of Saint Barthélémy.
Racing will be governed by :
■ The ISAF rules of sailing. 2009-2012
■ The regulations of The French Federation of sailing
■ The CSA rules
■ The Multi 2000
■ This notice of race
■ The sailing instructions.
■ Environmental rule: None of the boats are allowed to throw any waste on water. Penalty will be applied in case of deviation.
■ If there is a conflict between languages the French text will prevail.
The event will be Category “C” as specified in the RRS(2009-2012). Boats may be required to display advertising provided by the organizing authority as permitted by ISAF Regulation 20.3. (d)(i).

After consideration of the number of boat entries, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify the classes or add classes.

Official sailing instructions will be those distributed in the registration packages only.
Competitors agree to be bound by the International Sailing Federation Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS)2009/2012, by the Sailing Instructions and the Notice of Race. Competitors agree to take any and all responsibility for the nautical qualities of their boat, the rigging, the crew's ability and the safety equipment.Competitors also agree to take any and all responsibility for damages caused to third persons or their belongings, to themselves or to their belongings, a shore and at sea as a consequence of their participation in the regatta, relieving of any responsibility, the Saint Barth Yacht Club and all persons or sponsors involved in the organization under whatever qualification and to accept full responsibility for the behavior and dress of the boat's crew, representatives and guests.Competitors are to be acquainted with ISAF RRS Part1 Fundamental .Rule 4: “The responsibility for a boat's decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone”. In any case, competitors agree that the Saint Barth Yacht Club, the sponsors and their agents,have no responsibility for loss of life or injury to members or others, or for the loss or damage to any vessel or property.As part of the registration process, each individual participating crew member will be required to sign a declaration accepting this disclaimer of liability.
At the moment of the registration the representative of each boat shall present following documents,
■ Valid FFV License with medical approval for French crew-members
■ The proof for the foreign crews, that they are in compliance with their National Authority
■ Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third party liability insurance with a minimum cover of 1,6 M € per event or the equivalent.

All competing boats shall carry a VHF radio capable of receiving communications from the Race Committee and port Authority on channels 72, 12 and 16.

The Low Point System rule A4 from ISAF will apply.
13-PENALTY SYSTEMS and PROTESTS
44.2 is changed such that the penalty shall be one turn including one tack and one gibe that in all other respects comply with rule 44.2.
list of prizes and/or trophies to be awarded will be given in the Sailing Instructions and will also be available on the site “Les Voiles de Saint Barth 2012”
Competitors grant the Organizing Authority, the unrestricted right and permission to use the name and the image for any text, photograph or video footage of either themselves or the boat they are sailing during the event to be published or broadcast in any media whatsoever (including but not limited to Press and TV advertisements or Internet), for either editorial or advertising purposes or to be used in press information; in this respect, competitors' names and any biographical material of themselves may also be used or reproduced in any way known. As part of the registration process, each individual participating crew-member will be required to sign a declaration accepting this waiver of rights.
